Swimtown Pool Supplies is pleased to announce the 1st annual Swimtown Educational Scholarship.  This scholarship is designed to encourage students to study online marketing and technology in higher education.  The scholarship amount is $1,000.  As a growing e-commerce company, Swimtown Pool Supplies recognizes the importance of a growing pipeline of students with an education in Internet marketing and e-commerce.  We hope to foster more student growth in these critical areas as our economy changes.  Our hope is to assist a student financially with the cost burdens of college with this $1,000 scholarship. 

Students who have an interest in technology or are intending to study technology in college are encouraged to apply. 

Application:

To apply, please send the following information as an attached Word document to jford@swimtownpools.com:

  • Name
  • Contact Information
  • High School
  • Current overall GPA
  • Written essay between 350 and 700 words on your favorite place to shop online and why. We are seeking thoughts on what you like about how the site presentation supports the products you are interested in. 
  • Detailed list of accomplishments and activities over your high school career.   Any involvement with technology clubs or initiatives will be favorably evaluated

Verification:

Before awarding our scholarship check we require documentation that our award winner is enrolling in the school of his or her choice.  We request that we receive an official letter of enrollment or copy of tuition bill to verify this.  Upon verification, we will make out the scholarship check in the winner's name and mail to the provided home address. 

Deadline and Award

Our deadline for applications is April 30th.  Our winner will be announced on May 20th

Eligibility Requirements

  • You must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen under state residency statutes.
  • You must be either a part time, community student pursuing an associate's degree, or a full-time, first-year undergraduate college student seeking your first baccalaureate degree.
  • You must not have been judged delinquent, nor have been convicted or pled guilty or nolo contendere to any felony in any state.
  • You must not have been convicted of any second or subsequent alcohol or drug-related misdemeanor in any state within the past academic year.
  • You must not be in default or owe a refund or repayment on any Federal or State financial aid.
